Heather Passmore is an artist, educator and parent. Her artistic practice reconfigures painting, drawing and printmaking with socio-historically laden materials. For the past fifteen years, she has exhibited extensively across Canada and internationally. Her projects are consistently recognized by the Canada Council and BC Arts Council. Her work has been included in a number of art fairs and biennials and it is held in many official public collections both locally and abroad. Heather has completed numerous artist residencies and public artworks. She holds a BFA, B.Ed. and MFA from the University of British Columbia, Canada. She is a founding member of a Art Mamas, a Vancouver art collective composed of nine artist mothers which exhibits and meets regularly. In 2021 Heather was awarded the Elmore Ozard Art Education Prize by the University of British Columbia. She is a member of the BC Art Teachers Association.
