Cross-Curricular Humanities Project

After presenting a lesson on gothic book illustration I wheeled in a portable printmaking press and all the necessary supples...soon Humanities 9 students were absorbed in the hands-on process of etching, inking and printing their own plates to Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein". The prints were exhibited together in a school display case. For the majority of students in the class the work below represents their very first etching.
